We are looking for a Design Team lead
Structures & Cases department has the responsibility to develop new products as well as manage products in service, for the civil programs. GEnx-1B/2B TRF, LMS100 PTC, GP7000 TEC, PW1000 17/24/30k TEC and IMC also RR XWB and Trent 900. Important for us is to refine our ability and build knowledge, make it reusable for current and new products.
As a Design Team lead you have the responsibility to make sure that the design team delivers according to plans, that you have been part of creating, to reach the targets. To enable this you lead a cross functional design team who supports with their respective competence. The work also includes handling of non-conformities on concerned products. Communication with other functions within the company and externally with customer and suppliers is an important part of the job.
We are looking for a person who will be able to grow into the role as team lead, Senior Design Engineer and Non Conformance Engineer.
We are looking for someone who is interested in such a role and has an interest in technology and management.


Job Responsibility
Among other things following responsibilities and expectations are included:
Be design focal for the product design
Planning, driving and managing the design team to be able to deliver right quality in the right time
Break down of requirements on the product with purpose to reach a balanced product regarding technical requirements, producibility and product cost
Define the resources needed
Plan and document verification and certification of the product
Plan and perform technical reviews, internally and externally
Drive design changes, repair proposals and manuals
Handling of remaining non-conformities


Furthermore, we want you to actively contribute to the department´s objectives, strategy and continuous improvement work. That you are able to create a positive atmosphere and acts as a role model. Setting team targets and feedback on performance within the team is also very important.


Qualifications
Engineering diploma BSc, MSc or similar
At least 5 years of experience and product knowledge from our products
Experience of leading teams
You are comfortable taking a large individual responsibility as well as being part of a team
You have the ability to communicate and express yourself well in speech and writing English
