Our clientOur client, who is a global and world leading actor within their domain, strongly believe in the long-term sustainability of HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) technology. This technology facilitates energy transfer with direct current at high voltages, making it suitable for transmitting energy over long distances and connecting electricity networks with minimal losses. In addition to energy transfer, HVDC technology addresses electricity quality issues and contributes to the stabilization of connected power grids. For offshore wind power or long-distance underwater transmissions, direct current is the most realistic energy transmission alternative. The HVDC market for large scale offshore wind is booming as an enabler in the energy transitions. In these projects, our client have a larger scope of automation systems compared to on shore HVDC. To meet these requirements, our client are forming a new and dedicated engineering department with a focus on Automation: overall SCADA and HMI systems, IT/OT infrastructure, Cyber Security and telecom systems.
About the RoleOur Client are looking for colleagues experienced in industrial or electrical automation systems: both managers, specialists and engineers to work on tenders and projects together with their external sub-supplier partners. As a Senior Engineer, you will be technically responsible primarily for network and Cyber Security in our clients SCADA, network and IS/IT solutions defined in tender and execution projects.Our clients delivery model is to work with external partners mostly, meaning your role will be mainly to coordinate, guide, specify and review our partners’ work and ensure it fits into the overall solution.In this role, it is important that you are good at collaborating in overall tender and project teams and together with our clients customers and partners. It is also important that you are keen to learn and implement lessons learnt from others and from your own work and have an attitude to always improve.
Key responsibilities
Technically responsible for the network and Cyber Security solutions for SCADA and IS/IT deliveries
Design the technical solutions based on industry best practices, ensure a high level of base solutions and re-use between projects is achieved
Technical risks and associated mitigative actions is a key part of your work to ensure a final result meeting the objectives
Ensure that specifications and guidelines are developed and used by partners that make the projects well defined and allow for clear change handling
Requirements for the job
M.Sc. in Electrical engineering, Computer Science or another relevant area
Seven or more years of experience working in the field of network and Cyber Security for SCADA and IS/IT systems
Experience fromboth engineering and commissioning activities in previous roles
Documented knowledge of Cyber Security and designing of cyber secure networks
Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages, such as Swedish, are advantageous

Location: Ludvika, some possibility to work remote,weekdays with working hours during daytimeAvailability: Start date as soon as possible
Employment type: You will work as a consultant for 12 months before you have the opportunity to transition to employment with our clientThe position includes about 30-40% travel in Europe where you will go away for 2-3 months at a time.
