You will be a part of the Lower Front team, located in Gothenburg.
The Cab Lower Front team includes engineering areas such as the bumper, lower front panel and grille, FUP (front underrun protection), EE installations etc for the Volvo brand (FH, FM and FMX). All areas include advanced plastic and metal engineering with the aim to give our products a premium look and world class quality.
In our team we’re working with projects from concept phase to end of life for our products. We’re now in a really exiting phase with a variety of new exiting projects, where you will take a great part of the development work.
We’re a team that love to work together to reach a common goal with transparent communication and knowledge sharing.


Role description


As a Senior Engineer you will have the possibility to influence the future of the Lower Front area. Together with your teammates you will secure the quality of your components as well as securing the overall compliance in the complete vehicle.
When developing new parts for the lover front area with the input from Product Design, toolmaker and other internal stakeholders. You need to be skilled in advanced structure parts (solid – and surface modeling), understand the tooling set-up and analyze with respect to production assembly.


In this role there is also a possibility to grow and take lead in the future.

Required knowledge/experience
Master’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience with plastic engineering
In depth knowledge in the relevant Engineering area
Experience from working cross-functionally within automotive product development process
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Documented skills in Catia V5
You have proven knowledge in SAFe/Scrum
Documented skills in Creo, is a merit
Knowledge in Volvo’s internal systems KOLA, is a merit
Vehicle knowledge, is a merit
Driver license B, C is a merit
Verbal and written communication skills in Swedish, is a merit
