Our first aircraft is the ES-19, a nineteen-passenger airliner with an operating range of 400 km. The ES-19 is a fully electric aircraft, and our goal is to have the aircraft certified for commercial operation by 2026.

Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Environmental, HIRF & Lightning Qualification Engineer to help us design and develop the aircraft and its installed systems. As an all-electric aircraft, this may entail new and novel approaches to meeting the environmental, HIRF and Lightning qualification goals, in some cases requiring an innovative approach to the system design. This will be a broad role covering design support, analysis, test and compliance finding. In this senior role, you will provide specialist support to all other engineering groups including systems and structures.
Qualifications & Experience

Graduate degree in aerospace, aeronautical similar discipline, or equivalent experience

Minimum 10 years experience within an aerospace OEM company environment, including the conceptual and preliminary design phase

Experience with aircraft development programs through the entire design, development & certification lifecycle (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25)

Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization, or international equivalent

Direct experience with EMI, HIRF & Lightning qualification (direct & indirect effects) including protection methods

Direct experience with environmental qualification engineering requirements

Detailed knowledge of RTCA DO-160 environmental qualification requirements, levels and test methods

Knowledge of systems & safety engineering principles for safety critical systems (SAE ARP 4754/4761)

Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
