What's in it for you?
The Environmental team within Manufacturing is a dedicated team with the purpose to support and provide prerequisites for improved environmental performance, such as strategies and targets, environmental management, legal/regulatory requirements.
We are looking for a new colleague that would take over a role supporting permit- and environmental management. Your mission will be to lead development and coordination of production permits, environmental considerations in larger projects and environmental management, through collaboration with our plants globally as well as other organizations.
Your main focus will be leading the environmental part in large projects, securing relevant permit or similar as well as environmental consequences in projects to comply with legislation and internal requirements to reduce environmental impact. You will also support the development of environmental strategies and standards, including efficient ways of working. In order to do this you need to work with representatives from many areas and will build a wide and cross-functional network within the company. What you'll do
Your main responsibilities:
• Lead permit applications and similar, for developing or new processes, to secure production
• Coordination of current permit for part of Volvo Cars operations, incl authority communication
• Environmental considerations, incl legal requirements, in projects
• Development and deployment of environmental strategies and standards, instructions and standardized way of working
• Coach and engage internal stakeholders with strategic and operational improvements
• Work independently, cross-functionally and strategically to support and coordinate major changes and/or projects
What you need to succeed
We are looking for you who are a team player and has a university degree with focus on environment or equivalent and are experienced in working with environmental legislation, permit applications and environmental impacts in projects for large industries. Preferably you also have experience of working with environmental mgmt. and standardization of working procedures in accordance with ISO 14001, incl audit experience.
You are fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken, and since you will visit our plants you need a driving licence (B). In this role you need to have strong project management, engineering and administrative skills. You need to be a self-motivated, performance-driven problem solver who loves finding new solutions. You are a team player with good communication skills who can build as well as maintain a great network around you.
Business acumen, high integrity, professionalism, holistic view and conceptual thinking are some of other key qualities that we want to see in you.
