What’s in it for you?
The Strategy Development group is a part of the Manufacturing Engineering Casting & Stamping organization within, Manufacturing Engineering (ME).
Our mission is to secure that we create the best possible prerequisites for the development and manufacturing of Casting & Stamping processes globally.
We are looking for a member that will work in our global equipment team. The team is located both in EU and APAC.
The operative location for this role will be in Olofström but traveling to Volvo facilities and suppliers around the world can be required.

What you’ll do
• As a senior equipment engineer you are responsible to specify, cost calculate, procure, plan, install and verify large and/or critical equipment’s for the Volvo Cars plants.
• This position responsibility area is regarding presses where we need to reinforce the competence, you will work in close collaboration with our specialist regarding automation but also with the colleagues in APAC and with our stakeholders in production.
• You will have specialist role within the responsibility area, with in-depth understanding of the professional field.
• In addition to executing “own” equipment projects you lead and advise others on how to design global/local processes and systems that meet professional standards.
Do you fit the profile?
We believe you:
• Have B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent competence.
• Stamping Press knowledge (mechanical and electrical)
• Have experience from equipment projects in the automotive industry.
• Have experience in Project management
• Have experience in problem solving.
You have also more specific competence regarding
• Automation equipment such as Robots, Overhead cranes, AGV systems.
• Industry 4.0
• Process Simulate, Process design (Siemens)
• AutoCAD
• CatiaV5
• Have good communication skills in English and Swedish, both spoken and written. (Swedish is mandatory)
On a personal level
• You are passionate about what you are doing.

• You are enthusiastic, having abilities to build long term relationships as well as be responsive to the needs of both colleagues and customers.
