What You’ll Do
The Group Accounting team consists today of twelve dedicated employees. We are responsible for the Volvo Cars consolidation and for providing financial data on consolidated level for Volvo Car Group to ensure timely, accurate and uniform data to internal and external parties.
As a Senior Expert within Group Accounting, you will be part of our responsibility to prepare the Group Financial statements in accordance with IFRS. The deliveries include the financial section of the Group Annual Report as well as the Interim Reports. Other responsibilities within the group that you will be a part of is to coordination the group external audit, external reporting to one of the owners, and Group Actual Analysis. We are continually working with identifying and execute on improvements in the consolidation processes.
Working in the Group Accounting team gives you a big opportunity to a wide circle of contacts within Volvo Cars, working globally and cross-functionally, as well as getting a comprehensive view of the financial activities within the group.
Do you fit the profile?
To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience from consolidation and group accounting and reporting. You are probably working within finance at a global company and/or in an audit environment and you have strong and broad qualified accounting skills within IFRS accounting.
If you have experience working in Hyperion FM, OneStream or other large consolidation systems it’s an advantage. You have also extensive knowledge from working with Excel. Your analysis and problem-solving techniques are strong, and you possess abilities to grasp the big picture. In addition to the above you have a university degree in Business Administration, and you are fluent in Swedish and English both verbally and written.
Personal qualities as an open-mind and being a driven team player who takes ownership for any given task are valued. The person shall have refined communications skills and a high level of business acumen. Having a holistic mindset, a structured way of working and good analytical skills are also key factors in this role. Further, you are motivated by working independently and being able to contribute on our exciting journey ahead. You also appreciate the importance to drive change.
