Senior Financial Controller

The Financial Control department is a part of the Finance division. We continuously run projects related to process improvements to strengthening Finance operations. We are an active stakeholder in the monthly close process by being responsible for analysis of Klarna?s (legal) result ensuring consistency with legal and statutory requirements. The department is coordinating the ICAAP, support Finance operations with regulatory guidance and maintain Finance Internal Control Framework. We are now looking for a Senior Financial Controller to further strengthen our team.

Our mission is to add value to Klarna by analyzing, understanding and ensuring quality in numbers reported internally and externally, guidance in the regulatory environment as well as a proactive, communicative and solution oriented approach to new projects that will support Klarna?s growth.

You have experience from independently running and initiating projects with focus on identifying need of process improvements, as you will be involved in several projects ensuring good quality in Finance processes. Moreover, you will be responsible for the monthly analysis of Klarna?s (legal) result ensuring consistency with legal and statutory compliance requirements. As our Senior Financial Controller you will be the one setting and maintaining the new framework for our analysis.

Providing support in the analysis and review of the SFSA reporting, and in regulatory questions when needed, and the maintenance of the Regulatory Framework within Finance is an important part of the role. Last but not least you will be in charge of continuously developing the Internal Control Framework within Finance.

Success in this role means that you are a communicative, flexible person with drive and previous experiences from audit and/or controlling. Experience from work within other financial institutions is a merit as the group is responsible for quality controls of the financial reporting and for support to the Finance division in regulatory matters.

Cooperation and knowledge sharing is something that you find highly motivating as you will be working closely with a junior controller as well as the rest of the team. You have a Degree in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent and a minimum 5 years of experience within a similar function or as an Auditor. Knowledge in Swedish accounting principles, IFRS as well as experience of SFSA reporting is a requirement.
