Senior Financial Controller

As a senior Financial Controller you will be contributing to build an effective finance function which will enable Hedvig to continue its growth journey. What about the role?
Hedvig is growing rapidly both in Sweden and internationally and we are now looking for an experienced accounting wizard who is looking for the next challenge. Since this is a new and a key role for Hedvig’s finance function you will set up processes and you will strongly influence how the position will look like. You will belong to a growing team and work closely with a junior accountant helping you with day-to-day activities, the CFO and a financial controller. The vision is that you will start taking ownership of operational tasks such as closing books and tax reporting.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Ensure compliance with relevant financial reporting standards and manage periodical book closing as well as tax filings.
● Oversee Hedvig’s general accounting operations as well as setting up and refining transfer pricing policies.
● Develop and strengthen internal control processes by documenting and refining business processes and accounting policies.
● Ad hoc projects to support on a company level or the CFO, such as participating in financial due diligence processes, streamlining and automating the accounting function.
● Lead the setup of accounting operations in new countries when Hedvig enters new EU markets.
What about you?
● Experience from a senior position within Financial Controlling or Accounting.
● MSc or BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent knowledge and experience from K3 and IFRS accounting principles
● Experience of working with group accounting. i.e. branches or country offices.
● Experiencing filing for taxes.
● Has a can do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
● You have an eye for details; at the same time a holistic approach
Good to have:
● Experience setting up compliant accounting processes in EU countries.
● Experience or knowledge of transfer pricing is a big plus.
