Senior Financial controller for a client in Gothenburg

Our customer is looking for a Senior Financial controller.

In this role you will be responsible for providing correct and timely reporting of global spend, P&L, capex and cogs for assigned departments, both related to actuals and forecasts/budget/BPL.


Job assignments:
- To guarantee precise reporting of global spend, profit and loss (P&L), capital expenditure (capex), and cost of goods sold (cogs), utilize the ERP and AARO systems. Identify and explain significant deviations from targets, year-over-year (YoY) and quarter-over-quarter (QbQ), for the departments and cogs categories assigned to you
- Prepare monthly financial reports and conduct analysis for group functions such as Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and accounting. Also, create consolidated actuals and forecasts for review by the operations team. Serve as a bridge between the finance department and the operations team
- Take charge of the financial setup and preparation for multiple production sites, vehicles, and expanding markets
- Manage the accrual and capitalization process, which includes calculating hourly rates. Ensure timely submission of relevant information to the group accounting team during month-end closing for the departments assigned to you
- Consolidate the overall profit and loss (Q&L) and procurement forecast/budget into Konstrukt/Anaplan, including the related cogs categories
- Provide supporting documentation for both internal and external audits pertaining to the control functions assigned to you
- Analyze and report the cost per car, which involves considering factors such as warranty, duty, logistics, and local distribution.
- Supervise the duty payment process
- Carry out ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
- Approve C3 requests for the departments assigned to you

Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial controlling and the automotive business
- Possess a strong business acumen, demonstrating a deep understanding of the industry
- Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex financial data
- Effective at communicating financial information in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders, including those without a finance background
- Proficient in using Excel, as well as relevant Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and business analytics tools
- Ability to independently plan and coordinate work, while also collaborating effectively within diverse teams
- Skilled at prioritizing tasks and managing ad hoc requests
- Capable of working cross-functionally with global teams, fostering effective collaboration and communication
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
