POSITION SUMMARY
As Senior Freeze-drying Specialist, you will be responsible to drive optimization projects, scale-ups, writing changes and improvements. The Senior Freeze-drying Specialist will support the development of new freeze-drying recipes in collaboration with R&D, scale-up and troubleshooting both existing products in production and new ones under development.
The Senior Freeze-drying Specialist will act as scientific lead to Freeze-drying Specialists.
The Senior Freeze-drying Specialist will be responsible for setting up a cross-functional core team.
This function works with processes that affect both the Solna and Sunnyvale site.
The Senior Freeze-drying Specialist will act as SME in all freeze drying-related subjects globally.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
PhD in relevant area + 6-9 yrs. experience
Experience of freeze drying or spray-drying
Experience from differential scanning calorimetry or other solid-state characterization methods such as DSC, DVS, microscopy, SEM, XRPD.
Experience from working in a regulated environment (ISO or GMP)
Excellent communication, written and oral (English)
Multi-tasking ability
Ability to successfully interact with cross-functional teams
Proven record to drive projects independently



Preferred qualifications:
Excellent communication, written and oral (Swedish)
Experience in freeze-drying product development
Experience from Freeze drying process optimization and scale-up



Physical demands
Ability to work in an office, laboratory and production environment
