Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions.
IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.
Are you a Senior Frontend Developer who is looking for new challenges in life? Then this might be just the right opportunity for you
The team
We are now seeking a frontend developer for our OAS (Object and Structure tool) development team. OAS is Scania’s in-house developed PDM (Product Data Management) system – the core system that enables Scania’s modular approach when building vehicles by housing product data, structures and support for lifecycle management. The OAS System enables continuous product introductions into Scania's existing model programs - a true competitive edge in the market.
OAS is the true core of Scania's IT landscape and working here will gain you unbelievable knowledge.
What to expect
As a frontend developer in an Agile team developing single-page front-end applications, you will be responsible for providing high quality, maintainable and feasible technical solutions to fulfill the users’ needs. In addition, you will work in close cooperation with product and process owners on issues relating to functional requirements – both short- and long-term.
The OAS team is organized in value streams where IT and business are joining forces and work not just close, but together. Hence our team is a mix of business and IT people forming a Value Creation Team (VCT) that interacts with other VCTs in the same area. We work with the latest agile methods (SAFe) and are in constant development regarding methods and technologies.
Your Profile
You have a passion for web development, advocate an Agile approach to software development and have several years of experience. You can drive innovation and manage development needs within a fast-paced, agile environment. You are a team player but are also capable of working independently.
You have a proactive approach and excellent problem-solving skills, and you enjoy taking on new challenges. You have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with different groups within the business.
Most importantly, you love to increase your knowledge!
Furthermore, you have:
• You have a degree in computer science or similar, and/or equivalent experience
• You have extensive knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• You have extensive knowledge and experience in developing single-page front-end applications using frameworks such as Angular (preferred) or React.
• You are able to understand and evaluate different architectural patterns and designs, depending on the task at hand.
• You are familiar with Agile-based iterative/incremental software development methods, such as Kanban or Scrum.
• You have worked with version control systems, such as Git.
• You are proficient in written and spoken English and Swedish is a plus
• Architectural skills, experience with automatization and testing tools.
Our offer
At Scania, our focus is on providing our employees with a long-term career facilitated by individual personal development plans. You will have the freedom to steer your growth regardless of your ambition to become a specialist or a generalist. We work in hybrid-mode with the teams deciding on where you will work, from the office or from home. Flexibility and listening to individual needs are the guiding principles. You will also have the possibility to work from Scania’s newly opened hub downtown Stockholm.
In addition to an exciting career, we offer benefits such as flexible working hours, performance bonuses, lunch at reduced prices, car leasing, a pension plan, and much more.
Last but not least you will work with the latest technology and with the very core of Scania. Without OAS, the trucks can not be sold, produced or serviced. This is fun and challenging!
