YOU WILL
This is a role as a senior frontend developer in our OAS (Object and Structure tool) development team. OAS is Scania’s proprietary metadata-driven Product Data Management (PDM) system that houses not only data describing individual parts, but also data detailing how (structures) and when (change orders/conditions) these parts can be combined to produce assemblies, modules, and complete vehicles.
You will be engaged in developing and maintaining OAS in order to provide high quality, maintainable, and feasible technical solutions to fulfil the users’ needs. In addition, you will work closely with product and process owners on issues relating to functional requirements and user experience.
YOUR PROFILE
We believe in being autonomous and value team-players and pragmatical individuals. We also appreciate individuals that are analytical, result-oriented, and face new challenges with a positive, can-do attitude. You are of course open and curious towards your team mates, and you enjoy supporting and contributing to the development with your technical expertise. You have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with different groups within the business. Since you will be involved in many different development projects with many different stakeholders, you also have a good command of the English language.
You should have a passion for web development and have several years of experience in frontend development. You can drive innovation and manage development needs within a fast paced and agile environment. You have extensive knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML5/CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, HTTP, REST APIs, and HATEOAS, and also experience in developing single page frontend applications using JavaScript-based frameworks, e.g. Angular. It is an advantage if you are familiar with test-driven development using Protractor and with version control and bundling systems, such as Git and Webpack.
