We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Third Party Experience team, part of a product area called Soundtrack. Our mission is to revolutionize how creators integrate music and soundtracking features into their workflows, providing seamless access to our services directly inside major video and music editing tools.
Job Summary
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and embedding Epidemic Sound’s music, sound effects, and AI-powered soundtracking features into third-party applications. Collaborating with peers from across the organization, you’ll play a pivotal role in making our tools easily accessible to content creators right where they need them the most - within their editing platforms. Our user base spans from commercial content creators working for big enterprise customers, TV production companies, PR agencies to influencers editing their own content prior to publishing on social media platforms.
We’re looking for a team player who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys collaborating across different roles and disciplines. You take initiative, aren’t afraid to step up when needed, and are just as comfortable leading as you are supporting the success of your teammates.
This role is focused on frontend/plugin development, so experience building plugins or working with integrations in video or music editors is highly beneficial.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to build and integrate soundtracking features into popular video and music editing tools.
Develop scalable and maintainable frontend solutions.
Optimize the performance and usability of our plugins to ensure a seamless user experience in third-party environments.
Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure code quality through best practices and modular, reusable design.
Actively participate in shaping the strategic direction of the team as we expand our presence in major editing tools.
Requirements
Extensive experience with React, React-Query, Typescript, HTML, and CSS.
Strong focus on building modular, reusable code and scalable frontend systems.
A systems-thinking approach to problem-solving and architecture.
Experience working collaboratively with design, product, and engineering teams.
It would also be music to our ears if you have:
Knowledge of or experience with technologies like GraphQL, Electron, desktop apps, Vite, compilers/bundlers, monorepos, feature flags, CI/CD, and Redux.
Previous experience developing plugins or integrations for video/music editing software.
