Senior Gameplay Programmer

Would you like to create apps for children that allows them to use their imagination freely? Apps where children feel represented, no matter what colour of their skin or disabilities they might have?
 
That’s what you’ll do here with us at Toca Boca.
 
You’ll be part of a cross-functional team of 9. General Manager, Producer, Programmer x3, Artists x3, and a Play Designer. You will be the 10th person and the final missing piece of the puzzle. An experienced Gameplay Programmer with a great focus on game feel.
 
You will be creating apps for kids from their perspective. The team is currently working on a new multiplayer experience so your knowledge in this area will come in handy. The sooner you join, the bigger the impact you’ll have on the final product and the gameplay and systems we implement. Pretty cool, huh?
 
Creativity and fun are two words that best describe the atmosphere at your future office. Trading collectables, watching Buffy during lunchtime, gaming nights etc. are common occurrences.

About you:
Unity and C# is something you are comfortable with and you know all about shaders, interactions and animations for mobile devices. You’ve been doing this for a while now.
 
You understand the importance of game feel. Pulling a lever should feel like pulling a lever, not swiping your finger across the screen, even though that is what you’re actually doing.
 
Your challenge here with us is to create a digital toy that is loved by kids and trusted by parents.
