Senior Gameplay Software Engineer

We have just started building our dream game and are looking for a Senior Gameplay Software Engineer. We have a genuine ambition to make something that is more than a game. In the GOALS universe games exist both on and off screen, blending football, fashion, esports and digital assets.

As a Senior Gameplay Software Engineer you will be part of the core team developing the game from scratch. Being an experienced team member you are expected to help your teammates and share your knowledge.

You will be designing many new systems from scratch. This could be systems similar to what you have done before or something completely new.

As an individual you are bold and like to try new things. Just because something has not been done before, does not mean it should not be done and you love to solve problems in a team.

We love to share our work with the community and this goes for Engineers as well. We encourage you to share your learnings and what you work on at GOALS.

We are writing our code in C++, using Unreal Engine. You should have several years of professional experience in C++ programming as well as experience from working in a game engine.

Qualifications

- Expert understanding of C++ programming.
- 5 - 10 years of experience as a professional Software Engineer.
- Experience from shipping multiple games.


It Would Be Nice If You Have

- Experience working with Unreal Engine.

About the Employment

The position is permanent, starting with 6 months of probationary employment. You can work from our Stockholm office, fully remote or hybrid. It is important that you are able to communicate unhindered in verbal/written English and that you can work in a timezone close to Stockholm (GMT 0-3 hours).
