Senior geologist at Zinkgruvan Mining

Zinkgruvan Mining, located in a beautiful environment close to nature, is looking for a senior mine geologist. We are looking for someone to be one of the specialists in our company working with mining operation together with the colleagues on the mine technical services team. About the position
You will be a part of the geology team, a team of senior and junior geologist and technicians. Among the group’s main responsibilities are infill- and conversion drilling, modelling, logging and sample prep. As a senior mine geologist you will be a key player in the contact between geology, planning and production. You will, among other tasks, work with planning and evaluation of diamond drilling, estimation and validation of short-term models and support to the junior geologist on the team.

The role includes
• Planning and evaluation of diamond drilling (infill and conversion)
• Modelling in Leapfrog
• Daily contact with planning engineers to optimize planning and production
• Estimation and validation of short-term models
• Core logging
• Support and mentoring

Your profile
We are looking for a candidate with an MSc in geology and 10 years of experience from the mining industry. Experience using Leapfrog and Deswik is an advantage.

The work requires that you to take responsibility, have good collaborative skills and a willingness to lead and develop others. You have the ability for and aim to have a holistic approach.

You speak and write Swedish and English fluently.
