To the Department of Exploration, Garpenberg, Sweden

Boliden Mines staff function has approximately 300 employees and includes, among other departments: HR & Sustainability, Finance, Technology, Business Development and Exploration.
Work duties
Work duties will be geological work in the field and office and can consist of bedrock mapping, geochemical sampling, field reconnaissance, drill core logging, and supervision of drill programs, modelling as well as compilation of information and reporting. Project management is an important part of the job.
Work can be physically strenuous where you will need to carry field equipment and samples in variable weather conditions, as well as walk through rolling forest terrane. You will work both independently and in a group.
Starting: Spring 2021, or as soon as the position is in place.
The position will initially be based in Garpenberg, Bergslagen, Sweden. You can be required to move to other locations in coming years
Education and qualifications
We are looking for people with completed university degree in geology/geoscience (BSc, MSc PhD). You need to have at least 5 years experience in mineral exploration. Ideally, you have core logging, field experience and project management experience. You should be self-managing, service oriented and creative, and have the ability to cooperate with others. We require good knowledge in English (Swedish is not required at date of employment but you need to be keen to learn Swedish). You need to hold a class B driving license (Driving a normal car).
