About the job
The Business Unit Energy separation is responsible for the Alfa Laval portfolio of high-speed separators, decanters, freshwater generators, and evaporation solutions. We are 130 persons dedicated to growing business within process, heavy and light industries and are one of four BU:s in the Energy Division.
We’re exposed to a major transformation driven by the global sustainability movement. Thus, we’re adapting to new ways of making business and delivering projects to emerging customer segments linked to renewable fuels, chemicals and plastics, recycling and ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge). Our focus is engineered modules and separation systems to the global market, executed from our engineering hubs in Denmark, India, and Shanghai together with project managers located in several regions.

We make it through our professional engineers, project managers and supply organization, that are attentive to the customer needs and deliver on our commitments.
Your tasks will be:
* Develop and lead the Global HSS Bid & Design Team over time
* Ensure that our engineered solutions meet market requirements with competitive prices by managing maintenance of existing modules & execute new development of systems with focus on cost effectiveness in manufacturing, design, and supply chain
* Lead several direct reports at Tumba site and secure good global cooperation and collaboration with other E&S sites as well as with Global Process Sales team
* Be attentive to demands from a market in transformation and work closely with sales to capture and develop new and our existing product range
* Be responsible for the design and competitiveness of our HSS product range and our customer quotations
* Create, execute, and manage development project within E&S according to the market demands
* Drive the product development project portfolio and secure finalization on time, on spec and on budget
* Own the HSS Bid process and support the Global Sales team in quoting the right conceptual design and system
* Collaborate with the E&S teams, Service and Sales globally in a diverse and decentralized organization
* Drive knowledge excellence by developing and executing trainings
* Drive continuous improvements, development of new tools and ways of working within your team
* As a member of the E&S management team, participate in shaping the future growth for the BU
Who you are
We believe you are a senior mechanical or process engineer with experience in leading teams interacting cross sites. You are familiar with agile models of working, in execution and product development. Our people and competences are the differentiators. You are confident in direct as well as indirect leadership as we’re operating in a matrix environment. You will have many interactions within the Energy Separation organization, and you are comfortable interacting in a decentralized working environment.
What you know
* You have a master’s degree in engineering or similar educational background and 5 years minimum experience from managing engineering and development projects in relevant industries.
* We work in an international environment, so you need excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
* Business oriented and interested in CleanTech development on a broader scale, as our future very much is linked to new process applications on the verge to take off.
