At Heart Aerospace we develop the ES-30, a regional hybrid electric airplane with a capacity of 30 passengers driven by electric motors with battery derived energy. The ES-30 is expected to enter into service in 2028.
Your mission
The Senior High Voltage Electrical Engineer will help us design, develop and verify the High Voltage Power Distribution System. You will be responsible for dimensioning of the High Voltage Power Distribution System as well as assessing various designs together with different stakeholders. Furthermore, you will also be establishing and following-up discussion with external suppliers as well as internal stakeholders.
You will be part of a multi-functional team, working closely with hardware and software integration.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design the High Voltage Power Distribution System
- Dimension the components in the High Voltage Power Distribution System
- Assemble the components of the High Voltage Power Distribution System
- Conduct safety assessments and analyses for aircraft, systems, components, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety aeronautic regulations, standards, and guidelines
- Apply system safety engineering principles to identify, analyze, and mitigate safety risks throughout the aircraft development lifecycle.

- Develop and maintain electrical safety documentation.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal electrical safety procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, system engineers, and regulatory authorities, to ensure a comprehensive approach to safety.
You will report to the Head of Energy Storage Systems and your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
- Minimum 10 years experience in High Voltage electrical power storage and distribution systems
- Direct experience of high voltage systems design, integration and testing.
- Deep understanding of UNECE R100, ISO6469, ISO 17409 and ISO 60664
- Knowledge of electrical safety hazards including but not limited to arc flash, arc blast, shock, etc.
- Knowledge about electrical personal safety
- Experience with systems and equipment development programs through the entire design, development and certification lifecycle.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
- Eagerness to work with others
- Passion for aircraft and electrification of the aviation industry
Education
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
