Join us as Senior HW Design Engineer within the Charging ART. We are responsible for the development of competitive charging solutions for on-board charger and DC/DC. The team is the core competence centre in Northern Europe in regards to Charging solutions. The on-board charger (OBC) is essential for electrified vehicles, it holds the functionality to charge the traction battery from the grid, and it is for sure of highest importance in a pure electric vehicle. Both AC- and DC-charging are in current projects and wireless charging is already around the corner. The DC/DCs coverts energy from the traction battery to the low voltage system for suppling all the 12/48V power consumers in the car.
What you will do?
We are now looking for a Senior HW Design Engineer to strengthen our Power Electronics System team working towards future platforms. The position will be part of a new inhouse design team consisting of a Product Owner, Scrum Master, System Designers and HW designers.
As a Senior HW Design Engineer you will design and build DCDCs and OBCs in order to bring new solutions to market utilizing the latest technology.
The role includes hands on testing and troubleshooting. Leading advanced engineering project within the area and contacts with other engineering departments, CAE teams and manufacturing engineering within our company as well as with external suppliers are included in the role.
Your key tasks
* Design of electrical HW components, e.g. OBCs and DC/DCs and support other team members.
* Hands on work with Power Electronic and EMC
* Balance and optimize electrical HW design against electrical requirements
* Leading or contribute to advanced engineering projects
* Optimize packaging of components and participate at package meetings for resolution of mechanical conflicts and clearances issues

You and your skills
It is meritorious if you have good insight in agile development.
* MSc degree in Electrical engineering or similar
* Experience working as an electrical design engineer
* Experience with design and analysis of power conversion topologies
* Experience with power semiconductors: MOSFETs, IGBTs, etc and different technologies like SiC and GaN
