Are you an engineer with a great interest in maintaining and developing techniques and instruments? Do you enjoy working with challenging technical problems, to find new and innovative solutions?

We are now looking for a consultant to the join the team as a Senior Instrument Engineer to Mölnlycke Health Care. The department Laboratory Support and Stability Testing is responsible for laboratory test systems and equipment, quality systems and stability testing at R&D Laboratory, part of Wound Care Research & Development, Science & Technology department.

About the position
As a Instrument Engineer you will be involved in the daily operations at the department of Laboratory Support and Stability Testing, working with various types of instruments. You will be the point of contact for internal as well as external personell, supporting the team with technical expertise. The job includes a significant amount of problem solving and you will get the chance to use your technical interest och knowledge to support the development of the instruments.



Responsibilities
Main tasks:
• Responsible for the technical daily work regarding laboratory equipment and test systems
• To secure expertise within laboratory equipment and implement new instruments in order to support the development of new models and methods for laboratory testing
• Maintain contacts with suppliers and review agreements
• Create maintenance plans for laboratory equipment
• Lead and perform qualification and validation of new instruments
• Be able to install and configure new equipment
• Deep interest in problem solving regarding technical issues
• Manage instrument documentation (regarding risk analyzes, validation, etc.)
• Participate and contribute in risk analyzes
• Conduct training sessions for new and existing equipment
• Preparing brochures and self-help manuals covering tools and equipment's specification details, information on materials and safety procedures

Your profile
We expect the successfull candidate to hold a Master of Science in Engineering / University degree in technology, chemistry or an equivalent field, or alternatively long work experience from GLP-controlled laboratory activities or a relevant field.

Additinally you should:
• Have a good ability to work independently and in teams
• Have up-to-date knowledge and technical skills in area of interest
• Be accurate, curious and have great interest in learning new technical processes
• Be familiar with the content and application of current R&D standards and information
• Be committed to provide high level of customer service
• Be a problem solver
• Be fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken

Preferred qualifications & skills:
• Interest to design and develop new equipment
