Our first aircraft is the ES-19, a nineteen-passenger airliner with an operating range of 400 km. The ES-19 is a fully electric aircraft, and our goal is to have the aircraft certified for commercial operation by 2026.

Role Overview
The Senior Interior Design Engineer reports to the Section Lead - Interior Design and will support the development of the entire aircraft interior, including the cockpit, passenger cabin and cargo compartment. This will be a broad role covering the full project lifecycle including design, prototyping, testing, certification, and customer integration. In coordination with customers and suppliers, develop LOPAs, preliminary and detailed design of the interior and interior components meeting customer and regulatory requirements. The Senior Engineer will ensure integration of interior components and systems with aircraft structure and systems, author and review design and substantiation documents. Responsibilities will include optimizing the design and finish of the cockpit and cabin environment.
Qualifications & Experience

Working knowledge of EASA/FAA cabin safety regulations (CS-23 preferred)

Experience developing and building physical mock-ups

A high-level of proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

The ideal candidate would have
-
10+ years of experience in aerospace industry, working in OEM aircraft preliminary design, integration and certification

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Electrical)

Demonstrated proficiency in CAD

Experience with product configuration management

Knowledge/experience with aircraft interior structures, materials and processes, loading conditions, structural analyses and testing

Working knowledge of FAA Fire Test Handbook and writing flammability test plans and reports

Experience with aircraft seat (Passenger and Pilot) testing and certification
