We are seeking an Internal Communications Manager to join the Marketing Team. This leader will be responsible for developing, organizing, and carrying out strategic internal communications programs that raise engagement around our company mission and vision among our employees, so that people feel aware of, invested in, and excited by where we are going. This role will help employees feel more connected to our destination and know how what they do every day will help us get there. The right candidate will work directly with FRS senior executives and serve as an integral part of the Marketing team.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, innovative, well-seasoned communications professional who possesses good judgment and outstanding writing skills. The Internal Communications Manager will take abstract and complicated issues and turn them into simple and powerful narratives that are easily digested by our internal audience. They will also help ensure internal and external messaging is in alignment across the business. As necessary, they will also handle crisis mitigation communications, crafting a narrative that upholds the integrity of the brand while providing employees with necessary information.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role will work on a highly collaborative and consultative basis with peers in marketing, HR, and the FRS leadership team.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for the global internal communications strategy and plan – uniting our various offices, teams, and brands under the connected reliability vision for FRS
- Take a holistic view of all internal communications, helping to break down silos, increasing employee engagement through increased communication and shared purpose, and tailoring their approach to regional needs
- Provide communications expertise, support, and advice to the FRS leadership team to translate complex messages into clear, concise communications suitable for global internal audiences and communications strategies that support both employee engagement and business transformation
- Partner closely with Content Manager to ensure their marketing content strategy and your internal communications align from a topical and voice/tone perspective.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years of communications experience, including internal communications at a global company
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field
