Senior IT Architect

We are seeking a Senior IT Architect for a customer project. You would be based in any of Solna, Linköping, Norrköping, Örebro or Gävle. You will however initially work remotely due to Covid-19.

Our customer operates in a highly automated industry and takes the next steps with digital as one important strategy enabler. New ways to meet the customer and a growing service offering also drive needs for digital transformation. The current IT architecture serves as a stable platform for a business with demanding availability requirements and is strategically evolved to meet new requirements. The client function for IT and Digital Transformation supports the entire group globally. They are a team of approximately 100 leaders and specialists represented in all manufacturing sites and geographies. They have clear governance and work collaboratively with other parts of the business.

The Chief IT Architect is expected to ensure that the overall IT architecture is evolving and is maintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for its security, effectiveness and scalability. You ensure that the business, application, data and technology perspectives are in line with the organisation’s technology and governance strategies, policies and standards. You take responsibility for the overall client IT architecture and make sure the group has a clear and communicated target architecture that can support the organisation in digital decisions for the future, and for the creation, maintenance and management of IT architecture models and their lower level components. You Lead the IT Architecture forum and collaborate closely with specialists in all areas within the organisation and you take active part in projects and the development and implementation of digital solutions.

The client is looking for someone who is a collaborator and are naturally invited as a coach and speaking partner in architecture matters. You have a creative mind and the ability to analyse, strategise and execute.

Essential (must have) skills, knowledge and experience

- English language proficiency
- Expertise in IT Architecture and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as Chief IT Architect, Enterprise Architect or similar.
- Good understanding of Agile work methods and DevOps.
- Relevant experience in the development and implementation of systems, Infrastructure environments, Cloud, and Software as a Service (SaaS) model and web technologies.
- Good understanding of data architecture and data management is important.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and effectively interact with all levels of developers, technicians and management both in Swedish and English.


Qualifying skills, knowledge and experience

- Practical experience from system development and operations.
- Experience from manufacturing.
