You’ll also enjoy a culture and benefits package that’s made us one of the world’s most awarded and progressive employers.

What you’ll do
Assets are part of the foundation for the future of Volvo Cars. Both physical and virtual assets are crucial to take well informed decisions and guide the company forward.
To strengthen our position, we are now looking for a Senior IT Asset Manager who owns the vision, strategy and governance of our IT and connected assets.
As Senior Manager for IT Assets, within the Digital Core department, you are responsible for a holistic view on IT assets across the organization. You will collaborate with different teams to identify the types of assets across the organization, define the system landscape to document assets, lead the dialogue on how to govern assets and promote the advantages of proper asset management.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the entire Volvo Cars organization and to build up new capabilities from scratch. You will be exposed to the entire organization and are expected to have dialogues on all levels.
Your main responsibilities include developing a vision on how IT Asset Management shall look like in Volvo Cars. You will develop and implement strategies for the efficient organization and maintenance of physical and digital assets. You will create, populate and communicate reports regarding assets. Another part is to define the Governance on where and how assets are handled in the organization.
Moreover, you will guide the entire digital organization, including the leadership team, on how to act regarding assets. You will collaborate with various teams to understand their asset needs and ensure timely delivery. You will establish and enforce metadata standards to enhance searchability and accessibility of digital assets. This role does not have the ownership for asset management systems – you will run the implementation of governance rules towards them.
Lastly, you will manage the intake, tagging, cataloging, and archiving of digital assets. You will conduct regular audits to identify gaps and opportunities for asset optimization. You will also stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in digital asset management.
What you’ll bring
We think that you have:
· A bachelor's degree in information management, computer science, business administration or a related field.
· Proven experience as an asset manager, architect, or a similar role.
· In-depth knowledge of asset management principles, best practices, and industry standards.
· Proficiency in IT asset management software and systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Maximo, SAP, Alfabet etc.).
“Stagnation means regression” is a mantra you can identify with. You have an inner desire to make things happen. You have solid organizational and prioritization skills with a keen eye for detail. You have great communication and collaboration skills. You are used to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
You can be based either in Gothenburg, Stockholm or Lund.
