About Heart Aerospace

Our first aircraft is the ES-19, a nineteen-passenger airliner with an operating range of 400 km. The ES-19 is a fully electric aircraft, and our goal is to have the aircraft certified for commercial operation by 2026.

Role Overview
The Senior Information Technology (IT) Engineer reports to the Head of Operational Excellence, and has broad responsibility for the development, implementation and sustainment of the company IT infrastructure and platforms. You will be responsible for developing the systems which the company uses, implementing and linking new software into our workflow and troubleshooting issues with current and future systems and networks.
This is a “hands-on” role which directly supports all of our departments including application-specific issues, network and server issues, project management systems and will also be working with external support staff e.g. for solving issues with our instances and drives on Amazon Web Services and Google cloud.
Qualifications & Experience

Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information technology or similar discipline, or equivalent experience.

Minimum 5 years experience in information technology, preferably in an engineering company environment.

Experience of the introduction of new IT and project management systems.

Comprehensive knowledge of the operation and administration of servers and network administration.

Experience Implementing a cross-platform network.

Good knowledge of Linux servers.

A broad knowledge of computing hardware.

Monitoring and maintenance of IT systems and introduction of protective measures.

Knowledge of the current Microsoft Office products.

Experience with both open source and ‘black-box’ software.

Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English.

Passion for aircraft and Heart’s mission.

Experience working in an aerospace or other start-up environment.

Experience with PLM and ERP software integration.

Knowledge and experience with GIT Lab.

Management of AWS and Google cloud accounts.

Experience with NextCloud.

Experience with HPC Systems.

Experience with secure network and VPN management.

Experience with License Servers.
