About this opportunity
Welcome to the Application Engineering team. As a Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist, you’ll play a valuable role in becoming a Subject Matter Expert around application management incl. different compliance and life cycle management aspects. In your role, you will be working closely with our application owners and provides and supporting them to ensure our applications meet the expected Nordea standards.
What you’ll be doing:
- Mainly focusing on day-to-day activities connected to:
- Application Operation, Incident Management and Problem Management/RCA – 2nd line support
- Assist and engage with platform operations teams and the delivery factory in technical matters, to ensure compliance and efficient operations
- Event Management - take a proactive approach to application monitoring, evaluating and working with improving application performance and stability
- Assist developers in analysing data in production, running scripts etc., perform post-deployment verifications to ensure service availability
- Build a run book, i.e. establish a solid structure / ways of working / knowledge base for our services from an operational standpoint that can be utilized over time
You’ll join Technology and Application Engineering, where we are a part of the “run the bank” organization. We make sure that the applications and IT services work today and will continue to work in the future.
The role is based in Sweden.

Your experience and background:
- Solid Application Maintenance background Experience in Incident Management /Problem Management following ITIL
- Experience within 2nd line technical support
- Knowledge of at least one of relevant components within the Nordea Midrange technology stack - JVM, Virtual Servers, Java, SQL-databases, Windows, SOAP/REST, Job Schedulers etc.
- Experienced in IBM Z/OS environment, TSO, JCL, DB2/SQL, DB2 QMF
