We are a growing digital product development and engineering team passionate about delivering innovating solutions to patients and healthcare professionals in clinical studies. Clinical studies are at the core of AstraZeneca business, and this is an outstanding chance to create a new way of thinking in how technology is used to empower and interact with patients.



The organization consists of many multi-functional and self-organized/managed teams having the people, skills, and resources to deliver their part of the product. We are applying agile methodologies like SAFe and Scrum to continuously deliver new software releases in program increments and are working closely with our business partners to deploy those innovative product features to patients and healthcare professionals in clinical studies at AstraZeneca.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Senior IT Project / Programme Managers with a strong digital product development, project delivery and leadership background. You will get a unique opportunity to lead one of our strategic programs and have a significant impact on shaping the product and deliver innovative solutions to patients and healthcare professionals around the world.



Key accountabilities include:

*

Ownership and accountability for the programme and its constituents deliveries as well as the programme activities including resource, cost, quality, risk and change management as defined in AstraZeneca's project methodology and operating models
*

Build and handle effective relationships with senior business partners and liaise with the wider organization, steering committees and collaborators to communicate status, raise issues, manage risks and coordinate dependencies
*

Build a cohesive project /programme team and provide the leadership vital to improve the team's success.

*

Define and drive project / programme improvement initiatives to enhance agility and oversee critical initiatives and plans.
*

Ensure effective benefits realization according to the strategic goals of the programme and in collaboration with senior partners and sponsors
*

Support / lead development of an extraordinary centre of excellence for project management capabilities and ensure that standard processes are embraced and continuously reinforced.


Skills & experience required

Essential

*

Technical or Business Degree and significant confirmed meaningful experience as a programme manager or equivalent role
*

Extensive experience of program and portfolio management processes and practices in a complex regulated multi-national environment
*

Solid experience working in a global organization as well as managing and leading global, geographically dispersed project teams and partners
*

Confirmed knowledge and skills in financial management and controlling large programme budgets
*

Evidence of shaping innovative and strategic digital solutions that have a major impact on the business area and wider organization

*

Ability to influence and challenge at a senior level and communicate complex issues in a simple and effective way
*

Superb communication skills and track record in building strong and credible relationships with key senior partners
*

Strong knowledge of transformation delivery approaches including agile methods (eg. SAFe & Scrum)
*

Broad understanding of the IT landscape, systems and technology implemented for end users within a business context
*

Excellent business insight with sensitivity to environment


Desirable

*

Masters degree (business or technical degree)
*

Project / Programme Management certifications
*

Experience of delivering GxP solutions & SaMD
*

Agile, Lean & Six Sigma Skills
