Senior Java Developer

Role description:
As a Senior Java Developer you use the latest technologies, like AWS and Microservices, to develop cutting edge solutions and services to our customers. The purpose is to help them stay ahead and offer attractive and relevant services – now and in the future. Together with your team you are responsible for the entire lifecycle of a service – from requirements, development, test, deploy, maintenance to continuous improvements and new innovations.

Team description:
The team consists of nine developers, one Scrum Master and one Product Owner. We have responsibility for three different products – one is in production and two is in development. The one in production is a service that manages subscriptions for vehicles and enables end users to buy services/subscriptions for their vehicles. The two in development is a service for smart routing of electric vehicles, and a service which will provision services within vehicles.

We mainly work with pair programming and mob programming to ensure quality and knowledge sharing, as well as to promote a good team climate. We are not prestigious, and everyone should feel comfortable asking questions or challenging themselves to do something new. By including the whole team in every aspect of development, such as architectural discussions, we become less vulnerable and less person dependent, but it also brings us closer together as people. We strive to have fun while working! While you can also work alone sometimes you do need to be open to the idea of this type of ensemble programming to fit into this team.

About half of the team is working permanently from the office, and the second half uses more of a mixed approach to being on-site vs working remotely.

Need to have:
AWS (CloudFormation, Lambda, SNS and SQS, DynamoDB)
Java (Java 8 and above)
Experience working in a DevOps team
