Senior Java developer to KGH Customs Services

Arbetsbeskrivning

Hi there!

My name is Pontus Berglund and I am heading up a great team of engineers, working together towards a vision of disrupting the supply chain and customs industry by innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology.

We are looking for ambitious and skilled full stack developers to become part of our development team at KGH. Give us a chance to spark your interest…

KGH Customs Services - Facilitating Trade for Sustainable Growth!
If you enjoy working in an international environment with passionate and highly competent colleagues and want to make an impact within a dynamic organisation, then KGH Customs Services is a good match for you. Established in 1963, KGH has grown to become one of the largest European providers of international trade and customs solutions and services.

Today, we offer a comprehensive range of innovative solutions and services to over 28,000 customers each year across Europe. With close to 1300 colleagues operating in 22 countries our business model and customer offering addresses strategy, compliance, operational solutions and digitalisation opportunities. This breadth and depth of capabilities and geographical coverage make us unique compared to competition.

KGH is since September 2020 part of the Maersk Family.

About the role
As a developer at KGH, you will contribute in all stages of the software development life cycle. The DevOps mentality is something that we strongly believe in. Our Java based modules are part of our strategic product portfolio called Customs Trade Digital Solutions (CTDS), aiming to become the next generation software solutions for traders.

You will be working in a small agile development team but also collaborate closely with other cross-functional teams in order to acquire new knowledge and/or discuss decisions regarding the solutions. With entrepreneurial spirit of ownership and greater responsibility in projects, you will be an active contributor towards key design decisions, detailed design and implementation. But you will also stay focused on securing a robust and resilient hosting environment together with our experts in IT Operations.

Furthermore, you will compile and analyze data, processes as well as codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement. By communicating and collaborating with fellow software engineers within our organization as well as other stakeholders both local and global, you will ensure the effective delivery and integration of these systems.

Who are you?
Your personality matters as much as your skillset. Therefore, you see opportunities rather than obstacles and you are driven by both leading and being part of a team. We also believe that you have a can-do attitude with good collaboration and communication skills. Furthermore, you are a curious person who is interested in KGH's visions and goals, and strives to be a valuable contributor on our journey to fulfill these goals.

We look beyond your resume, but we think that you have:
At least 5 years of experience in Java development
Experience with application servers WildFly and JBoss EAP
Experience in using modern JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular, React or Vue
Solid SQL Server and Oracle database skills

We consider it a plus if you:
Have a relevant education within software development or similar
Have agile software development experience, preferably Scrum
Experience of Cloud development

Working at KGH means working in an international environment together with passionate and highly competent colleagues. With a strong drive to generate sustainable solutions, we facilitate international trade and help our customers to grow their business. The willingness to get engaged in this important task is clear proof of the pride and commitment felt by everyone throughout the company.
