Senior Java Software Developer
Nasdaq Technology is looking for a Senior Java Software Developer to join the Real Time Clearing (RTC) product team. RTC helps clearinghouses meet the ever-increasing demands of the post-trade value chain with integrated position keeping, real-time risk and collateral management as well as settlement, across markets.
We are a cross-functional team consisting of Business Analysts, Software Developers, Test Engineers and Project Managers and together we closely support, collaborate with and work alongside one of our clients in South America - a top exchange by market capitalization. The product that we are currently working on is both exciting and complex with very high-quality requirements!

What you will be doing:
Develop new complex functionality and maintain the existing codebase in an environment handling large volumes of data and high demands for high availability
Modify existing internal software products to add to new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance product usability
Work with all stages of the product life cycle; design, implementation, testing, release, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance and improvement
Participating in design discussions and decisions
Together with the team, you will participate in forming the team structure and improving our agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
Contribute with your experience and input to sprint planning, retrospectives and demos
Give continuous feedback to other developers, architects, testers, as well as Project Managers
What you will bring to the team:
A passion for building great products and delivering to business and customers
An outgoing and self-driven attitude along with your sense of structure and creativeness
Several years of experience in developing backend Java applications
Excellent working proficiency in English
Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology or software engineering or equivalent
It would be great if you also have:
Knowledge of the capital markets, e.g. clearing, settlement, trading, financial instruments or corporate actions
Experience from highly complex, distributed and resilient transaction intensive systems
Experience building processes with tools/technologies like Gradle, GitLab, Jenkins, Sonar
This is a full time position located in Stockholm, Sweden.
