Job description
ABC-Labs was founded in Stockholm, in April 2020, as a direct response to the unprecedented challenges of the coronavirus pandemic. ABC-Labs are currently expanding its portfolio of available diagnostic tests and as a strategic part of this process; we are currently looking for a senior laboratory technician with a focus on LC-MS.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Laboratory Technician, you will have a leading role in the development and maintenance of all analytical assays involving Liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS) as a method, and assessing data from analytical instruments. The role also includes performing validations, maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments and robots. You would furthermore act as advisor and support junior technicians. 

Your main responsibility areas include:
Developing analytical methods
Maintaining instruments
Validation of methods
Troubleshooting
Continuously improvement of technology, capacity and quality
Literature research


Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has extensive experience working with LC-MS in multidisciplinary environments. You should have a background in a relevant life science area, as well as several years of documented experience in LC-MS and method development. To fit the role, we see that you are technically interested and are willing to carry out troubleshooting and maintenance on the instruments. You should also like routine work and be analytical and structured.

Requirement:
A BSc or higher in a relevant scientific discipline; biochemistry, biomedicine, biotechnology or chemistry (Analytical chemistry is a major merit)
At least two years of experience in mass spectrometry with liquid chromatography (LC-MS)
Having used LC-MS in a routine based setting, either for patience sample analysis or within quality control 
Knowledge within troubleshooting of mass spectrometers and liquid chromatographs
Be able to develop methods according to international (ISO) standards
Good communicative ability in English and/or Swedish in speech and writing.
SWEDAC accreditation processes is a merit
