Senior Lead Engineer

Are you interested in a leading role in the business of energy revolution? In our new organization, you will have the opportunity to work with enabling of fossil free energy, new and growing technologies such as vehicle charging, data centers and integration of green energy.
As senior project lead engineer, or technical project manager, you will lead a team of engineers, and coach and guide them through the engineering stage of our projects. You will work and collaborate closely with the commercial project manager, engineering disciplines, customers, and other stakeholders such as supply and quality.
You will be in the center of things and will quickly get to know and collaborate with large parts of the organization. You will work with domestic customers located mainly in Sweden, but there will also be opportunities to work with export projects. The team is mainly located in Västerås.
Your responsibilities
Responsible for planning, prioritizing & reporting of all engineering activities in our substation projects
Coaching and mentoring of junior colleagues
Lead, supervise and coordinate the team in all engineering disciplines
Collaborate and network with colleagues within Hitachi ABB Power Grids
Shares best practice across different projects and disciplines
Interact with customers, contractors and suppliers

Your background

Good teamwork and collaboration skills are crucial to succeed in the role.
You hold a university degree in a relevant area or has gained similar knowledge from working experience.
Knowledge and experience of working with Swedish customers and Swedish regulations.
Experience from power electronics business and substation/FACTS/HVDC projects is required in this role.
Leadership experience is a requirement.
English is a requirement; Swedish is a merit.
