The unit for innovation and entrepreneurship offers single-subject courses at the Bachelor´s level, two Master´s programmes (MSc in Innovation and Industrial Management; MSc in Knowledge-based Entrepreneurship), and doctoral education. The position is an important recruitment to our international center, U-GOT KIES, and on-going international research projects. Reseach in this position/s will be within Professor McKelvey’s Distinguished Professors Program from the Swedish Research Council on knowledge-intensive entrepreneurial ecosystems. Gothenburg U-GOT KIES centre has research themes related to an economic & business perspective on innovation management, innovation studies and entrepreneurship.

Subject area description
Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management of Intellectual Assets is a subject to analyze and explain innovation and entrepreneurship processes; their determinants; and social and economic outcomes.
Job assignments
The aim of this senior lecturer position is to secure and strengthen both teaching and research within innovation and entrepreneurship at the department. The senior lecturer shall actively participate in the department’s research environment in innovation and entrepreneurship and take an active role in its organization and coordination. The senior lecturer will also be expected, together with the department’s other teachers, to take a broad responsibility for developing the content and quality of teaching.
Specific tasks:
Teach and continue the development work in the educational programs and courses which the department gives in this subject.
Teaching is conducted both in Swedish and in English
Actively develop a leadership role within education, through for example, course and program responsible Actively participate in the scientific seminars
Initiate and conduct research projects and programs about innovation and entrepreneurship, which are externally financed Strengthen and develop research in innovation and entrepreneurship from an economic and business perspective and collaborate with researchers in the Gothenburg U-GOT KIES center
Through a broader research collaborative network both nationally and internationally contribute to a dynamic and inclusive research environment of high international reputation
Through collaboration with business, public sector and civil society contribute to the distribution and use of research results also to develop new research trajectories and further develop our education.
Teach or else be responsible for department duties of currently a minimum of 35%. Teaching at all levels may be allocated as tasks.
In addition to own research financed by external grants, the senior lecturers at the department also have some time allocated to research and development
Employment
The employment is a permanent position with an extent of 100 % of full time, located at the Unit of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Department of Economy and Society. Starting date is 1 January 2025 or upon agreement. The department applies test appointment (for permanent positions).
