The position is located at the Unit of Pharmacokinetics and Drug Metabolism at the Department of Pharmacology, Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. The unit conducts research in biopharmacy, postgraduate education, and teaching at the basic and advanced levels within the pharmacy and dispenser programs. Teaching is conducted in Swedish and English.

Subject area description
Pharmacokinetics is the study of drug uptake, distribution, metabolism and excretion.
Duties
The duties consists of teaching and examination at basic and advanced level, supervision and examination of degree projects as well as course development, course management and course responsibility within the pharmacist and pharmacy dispenser programs. The successfull applicant will also supervise of doctoral students specializing in pharmacokinetic population modeling and establish and strengthen teaching collaboration between The University of Gothenburg and the pharmaceutical industry.
Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for employing teaching staff are set out in Chapter 4, Section 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance and in the Appointment Procedure for Teaching Posts at the University of Gothenburg.
Completed doctoral degree in pharmacy (pharmaceutical sciences) or what the the employer considers equivalent, demonstrated pedagogical skills and a pharmaceutical (Pharmacist) degree. Must be fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English.
Assessment criteria
Regulations for the evaluation of qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance and in the Appointment Procedure for Teaching Posts at the University of Gothenburg.
For evaluation, pedagogical skills will be considered first. Mainly meriting is proven experience of teaching and course development in pharmacokinetics.
Second, scientific skill will be considered. Mainly meriting is the ability to conduct research and research collaborations in pharmacokinetics.
Thirdly, administrative skills and the ability to cooperate and collaborate are emphasized. For administrative skills, demonstrated ability to administer courses in pharmacokinetics is primarily meritorious.
Employment
The employment is a full time (100 %) temporary post and located at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. Starting date as agreed.
Applicants who do not have a higher education pedagogical education are expected to undergo such within one year from the start of the employment.
