Sustainability is one of the three pillars of our company purpose, freedom to move in a personal, sustainable, and safe way, and is now as important to us as safety has been since the birth of our company. Sustainability is also a demand from our key markets, they are implementing legislation, taxation, and incentives in order to ensure that the automotive industry delivers improved Energy Consumption and Electric Range. Therefore, the business impact of the attribute area Vehicle Energy Efficiency increase strongly.
At Vehicle Energy Efficiency we are responsible for Strategies, Legal Requirements, Competence- and Process development to meet future Electric Range and CO2 challenges. We are about 40 engaged engineers within the attribute, working cross P&Q - from energy need to energy sources.

Do you want to make real impact and contribute to moving Volvo Cars environmental strategy forward? Then the role as Task Leader for Vehicle Energy Efficiency is the place for you to proper. Together we make Volvo Cars one of the leading car manufacturers in the world regarding Vehicle Energy Efficiency and Electric Range.
Your role
As Senior Legal Analyst, you will be the one who keeps track of our legal requirements and coordinate different departments to give the right requirements. The requirements are engineering focused based on regulatory demands connected to energy consumption, energy efficiency, coast down, and vehicle data reporting. You will represent our function both internally and externally.
You will work with the cross-functional information sharing meeting Vehicle Energy Efficiency Regulatory affair (VEERA) securing that information is shared, and analysis and conclusions are documented. You will also manage cross functional working groups analyzing and implementing new complex regulations. Important aspects to secure an efficient process are communication, documentation, and traceability.
You will manage and develop the Legal Analysis process at VEE with a cross-functional team to secure analysis delivery and implementation of results. You will also report the status and decisions to the VEE teams.
You and your skills
We are looking for you who has a Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering as well as experience of working with Legal Analysis or Regulatory Affairs in an R&D context. The task is focused on technical aspects and engineering requirements. Professional background from R&D, vehicle propulsion, emission testing and vehicle energy efficiency aspect is beneficial.
As a person, we believe that you are a structured, result oriented and with the ability to drive many tasks simultaneously. You are adaptable, willing to embrace challenges and you can operate in a constantly evolving environment. To be successful in this role, you need to be persuasive and efficient in communicating with various stakeholders and experienced in cross-functional collaboration. Having an interest in Vehicle Energy Efficiency is an asset.
