Senior Legal Counsel

Main tasks and responsibilities
Alstom is now looking for an ambitious Senior Legal Counsel, who can provide legal support and expertise regarding legal issues arising from business activities with customers, partners and subcontractors. The position reports to Head of Legal in the Nordics and aims at supporting the business in all legal matters where the key accountabilities include:
Prepare, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
Support the business in all legal and contractual matters including claim management and dispute settlement.
Contractual and legal evaluation of tender documents.
Handling of corporate law matters.
Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
The position will be based in Stockholm, but you will be a part of the Nordic legal team. The role might entail some traveling, both within the Nordics and to other sites in Europe.
Skills and education
It is mandatory to have a law degree in business law and relevant experience in an international business environment or law firm. You are also familiar with international contracts and have had exposure to international practice, either through studies or work experience. It is considered a requirement to be familiar with public tenders. Fluency in Swedish is required for this position. In addition, excellent English language skills are also expected.
