Our Challenge
Climate change is the ultimate safety test and Volvo Cars will pioneer sustainability as we have always done with safety. We are integrating sustainability in the hole lifecycle of our vehicles with the aim for carbon neutrality 2040. Environmental regulations and expectations are expanding worldwide and methods to assess our carbon footprint is becoming more important. There are many challenges to face in the near future and we therefore need to strengthen our Environmental data team. 

We are an engaged and committed team working with agile principles within Environmental Attribute & Data management at Sustainability Centre. Are you a visioner with experience in doing Life Cycle Assessments (LCA’s) preferable within the automotive area, ready to take the next step in your career? In that case, this is the chance for you. You will have the opportunity to be a part of setting up the methodology and develop the LCA’s we will perform for our vehicles. You will be working both with methodology and strategic needs, but you will also be hands on in the tool. 

Your Contribution 
You will work with setting up methods and carry out LCA’s for our complete vehicles. You will guide your colleagues in how to make the analysis more detailed, and how to do it more automated. Further you will make analyses, draw conclusions and guide the organisation in making the next cars even better. 

You are going to be part of a strong team that together secure our deliveries. We aim to work in self-organizing & empowered teams; therefore, you will be co-responsible for the team’s total output and not only your own deliverables.

Competence is Important
You have a university degree in industrial ecology or similar relevant area, solid experience from LCA calculations and expert knowledge working with LCA in the GaBi tool.
If you have previous experience from automotive industry it is meritorious.
