Arbetsbeskrivning
Northvolt‘s journey started in Västerås, Sweden with Northvolt Labs, a prototyping factory already in operation. The first phase of giga-factory - Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå is operating, while further expansion project has already kicked off. Northvolt Dwa in Poland is staring production.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start, building the landscape of first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play a significant role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
We have a great job offer for a Senior Logistics Programme Manager within our bold and passionate Planning and Logistics Team at Northvolt. You'd be located in Västerås or Skellefteå and have the opportunity to secure Northvolt’s successful growth in Sweden, Poland, Germany and beyond.
As Senior Logistics Programme Manager you will be the main point of contact and speaking partner for Northvolt customers (internal and external), in all matters pertaining planning and logistics. Your job will be to understand, challenge, negotiate, co-design and finally agree and ensure implementation of customer logistical requirements into Northvolt supply chain and operations.
You will be connecting with multiple stakeholders across Northvolt landscape: planning and logistics, operations, quality, automation and engineering, in order to ensure Northvolt's end to end readiness to service the programmes and deliver finished goods to the customer.
We:
In broad terms and without going into too much detail, Team Planning and Logistics looks after everything that moves or needs to be stored. Before it does, we also need to do quite a bit of planning, but that's a separate story.
Our mission is to support Northvolt’s growth and expansion with logistical and planning expertise and to create a robust operational framework, within which Northvolt units can operate. In parallel, we must secure sustainability of our solutions while maintaining supply chain efficiency.
You:
You are a project manager at heart, connecting multiple streams of activity, keeping all stakeholders in check and accountable for their deliverables. You are very structured, diligent in time management and Gantt is your absolutely favourite chart.
You are great communicator - both verbal and visual. You have the ability to formulate clear and concise messages and prepare relevant visual aids, all in order to build and manage close, transparent and trusting relationship with demanding customers and dynamic Northvolt landscape.
Ideally, you have managed projects of logistical nature, or where logistics played a large role. And look... we know that there is no candidate that ticks all the boxes... we get this, but there's a few things (we understood by now) that are quite important.
Excellent understanding of end to end supply chain in a manufacturing industry is rather crucial - the projects you'd be running stretch beyond "just" logistics and touch on infrastructural development, manufacturing, engineering and automation, quality and other surrounding fields.
We realised as well, that those of us, who had in their past built big from nothing or from little, find their place at Northvolt much easier. So if have been driving or been engaged in greenfield or brownfield projects, where your assignments focused on building from the ground up or heavy re-design - you will feel at home.
And lastly, since most of our customers are car or truck manufacturers, it would be ideal, if you did the things above in an OEM, tier 1 or similar industrial manufacturing environment.
Your primary set of responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
Managing logistical readiness programmes as part of Northvolt's OEM customer programmes (VW, Audi, Porsche, BMW, Scania, Volvo), as well as internal business unit activities (ReVolt, Battery Systems)
Acting as the primary contact for our customers, in all matters that pertain end to end planning and logistical preparedness, (systems, planning processes, inbound and outbound logistics, storage solutions, after-market, recycling etc.)
Managing external stakeholders assisting and partaking in programme development - 3PLs, real estate developers, external engineering partners, public authorities
Together with the team, building and maintaining logistics cost transparency for each of the customer and product programmes, as part of the total profitability analytics.
As Northvolt develops, so will you and your range of responsibilities.
