Senior M&A Integration Manager - Sandvik Machining Solutions

Senior M&A Integration Manager - Sandvik Machining Solutions

Arbetsbeskrivning

Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS) is on an exciting growth journey – in 2021 alone, we closed 14 M&A deals – and we’re now looking for a M&A Integration Manager to ensure that these companies join Sandvik in the best possible way and drive value together with us. Joining our experienced team of industry experts, ex top-tier management consultants and bankers, you’ll gain extraordinary insights and exposure to our business and its ambitious leaders. We welcome you to an open, agile and action-oriented environment, where we set the bar high and achieve our goals together.
Your responsibility
In this role, you’re an essential and integral part of the Sandvik M&A team, as you define and drive our merger integration strategy. To minimize risk and disruption and ensure a smooth Day 1, you plan the integration with the end in mind, maintain the Integration Management Office (IMO), and balance central, local and functional priorities in a concerted way. You help the leadership team in designing the post-merger organization, ensure sufficient investment in IT and communication tools and provide support in change management and culture integration. Open and effective communication is one of your keys to success, as well as driving early accomplishments and celebrating them.
Also included in your mission is to accelerate value capture and synergy delivery – helping management to protect the revenue base and avoid erosion during the transition, building action plans to exceed synergy estimates, and tackling quick wins with minimal disruption.
You report directly to the Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at SMS. The location for this role is flexible, although presence at our site in Stockholm or Sandviken is encouraged. International travel is a natural part of your job.
You…
… are a strategic thinker who knows how to move organizations forward. You have several years’ experience within management consulting, corporate development or in a private equity operating professional role. Your experience includes international M&A deals, where you’ve been leading the Integration Management Office (IMO) and orchestrating the full merger integration across all functions. You’re equally comfortable working with people in the production facility, optimizing efficiency and layouts, as you are presenting a three-year plan to board-level executives in the headquarters. Doing business in all corners of the world requires a cultural awareness and excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, while other language skills, especially Swedish, are advantageous.
As a self-starter and initiative taker, you’re not afraid of breaking new ground and you have the ability to quickly move between the big picture, the details and the concrete actions. You’re a true team player with respect for people, driven by succeeding together, and you put the common best interest first. With excellent communication skills and a strong sense of integrity, you achieve trust and results through openness and fair play.
