To meet the growing demand for battery electric heavy-duty vehicles and machines, the Volvo Group has initiated the process to establish a large-scale production plant for battery cells in Sweden. Were we will be able to build on a strong heritage and world-class competence in advanced, high-volume manufacturing, while having access to Sweden’s rich supply of fossil free energy.
Are you a talented Maintenance Engineer in Electric and Automation, looking to be part of a groundbreaking initiative at the intersection of technology and sustainability? Join our dynamic team as we embark on an ambitious project to establish a cutting-edge battery cell factory.
Your new role
As a Maintenance Engineer in Electrics and Automation, you will play a pivotal role and will make a lasting impact in the rapidly evolving battery industry. You will be a part of the project team and support with your experience in establishing the factory.
What you will work with:
* Be involved in the procurement of production equipment, from creating request documents and requirement specifications to commissioning the facility.
* Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
* Contribute to the commissioning and installation of cutting-edge equipment ensuring seamless integration within the industry 5.0 framework.
* Champion a culture of safety by adhering to protocols and fostering a secure working environment.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to strategize and implement maintenance activities for advanced battery cell production equipment.
* Leverage your expertise to optimize predictive and preventive maintenance processes, ensuring seamless operations, high availability and minimal downtime.
Attend in the efforts to integrate AI-driven analytics into equipment performance monitoring and diagnostics.

To succeed in this role, you have:
* An education as Automation engineer, Service electrician or related field.
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or Technician in a technology-driven manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, automation and PLC systems.
* Exceptional communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
* Genuine experience in machine safety and CE marking is advantageous.
* Familiarity with battery cell manufacturing or lithium-ion technology is a significant advantage.
