PolyPeptide is one of the world’s leading independent contractual manufacturer of therapeutic peptides for medicine and cosmetics. The PolyPeptide Group is present with sites in Switzerland, France, Belgium, India, Sweden, and US and employs approximately 1100 co-workers. The Group is listed on the Swiss stock exchange and manufactures more than a third of all approved peptide substances for medicine in the world.

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Manager to our Analytical organisation in Malmö. The organisation includes Quality Control (QC) and the Analytical Development. You are confident as a leader and has a passion to develop both business and people together. You will be working in a matrix organization towards both global and local stakeholders, which you support with your experience and which you easily adjust too. We are a rapid moving company, and the Analytical Organization is one of our largest functions.

Today, QC is organized in smaller departments divided into focus areas and work in a digitalized environment using LIMS and Chromeleon as system support that we are harmonizing to use as our global platforms. The different departments are responsible for method development, method validation, instruments and systems, test specifications, methods and procedures. As an organization, QC supports the whole value chain by taking part in regulatory matters and investigations as well as being part of project teams, customer meetings, and participate in audits both internal and external performed by authorities and costumers. Being a manufacturing site, QC is also responsible for routine analyses of raw materials, intermediates and peptide substances (API), stability studies and handling reference standards.

About you

You have several years of experience as a leader within the pharma industry and you are used to develop business and people side by side. As a contract manufacturer within pharma, we combine quality with a strong customer focus where we commit to flexibility and ability to change. We believe that you are looking for a new challenge where you will work close to your direct reporting managers as well as a team of Senior QC Specialists. You will have both a strategic and an operational focus and need to navigate your team in an environment that has a high tempo and is changeable. You enjoy supporting and coach your team but are also able to challenge procedures and introduce alternative options. In this role, you will need to see the whole picture as we work as ONE POLYPEPTIDE, meaning we work cross functional and cross sites to meet our customer’s needs. You need to be able to prioritize and structure work - to find a natural balance between strategic and operational assignments. Finally yet importantly, you are strong in communication, you meet rumors with facts and you can inspire and motivate your team to take the next step.

Main duties:

- Operational and strategic responsible to develop and improve QC locally at the Malmö site
- Be part of the Global Q Organization.
- Overall leadership responsibilities including budget
- cGMP compliance responsible
- Setting and follow up of department plans and objectives in relation to customer requirements, production plans and overall company objectives and strategies


You need to have:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience within pharma industry preferable CMO
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within a quality function
- Excellent communications skills both in Swedish or another Scandinavian language
- and English in oral as well in writing.
- Bachelor/Master/PhD degree in Chemistry, or equal
- Successful track record in change management
- Preferable experience from other functions such as Production and/or QA.
