Senior Manager Configuration Control & Design Support
Product Configuration & Design support (PC&DS) is a department within Project Centre and Program Management Office at CEVT. The responsibilities are within the release and documentation area of our products to secure Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). There are 3 main areas within the team. Design Support, Variant Management and Part management (BOM build). One of our Senior Managers have decided to move on to new challenges and therefore we are looking for a successor. 
In the role as Senior Manager within PC&DS you will both manage your team as well as do some operative work within the specific area you will be responsible for. You will lead and drive your team as well as lead and drive operational improvements. It is also needed to have/get good know how in the daily operational work of your team to support them in the best way and drive efficiency in the specific area.

The team today consists of; 
* 4 Product Configuration Managers and the variant management of our products according to marketing, legal and technical requirements. 
* 2 Design support and the support to engineers with drawing quality and drawing checking.
* 1 Planning & Change Management Coordinator, supporting CEVT support projects and responsible for internal planning and priorities
* 2 BOM Quality analysts, today mainly product structure & project assignment in BOMs. But the aim is to develop this complete area to give better support to both our team and the projects and to improve BOM quality.


You have Employee lifecycle responsibility for direct reports including recruitment, performance management and competence development. You are also expected to Contribute to the management team for the department.

The role also includes:
* Responsible for Planning & Change management within the department and to support our support projects.
* Responsible for BOM quality, today mainly product structure & project assignment in BOMs. But the aim is to develop this complete area to give better support to both our team and the projects and to improve BOM quality.
* Buildup, develop and long term secure the needed competence, capacity and working processes within the team
* Organize, supervise and quality assure work activities
* Manage schedules and deadlines
* Support Director of PC&DS to evaluate and drive efficiency and quality in the Product Configuration & Design support area (Release Management, Product Configuration and variant management, Design Support)


Needed competencies and skills
You have through your previous experiences built up your leadership skills with the ability to inspire, drive, motivate and coach direct reports
An ability to communicate clearly and to handle complex problems is essential in the role, as is also a flexible mindset with ability to lead change and development and take decisions.
Area expertise needed:
* Relevant experience within PLM and release management, preferable within automotive.
* Knowledge about BOMs, Product Documentation, Variant Management, Design support and Change Management.


You will report to the Director of PC&DS. It is preferred that you can move in the range of being able to dig into details to work on more high level strategic issues. You have to be able to operate in a fast-changing environment and have a good attitude to it along the way. CEVT is using Teamcenter as PLM tool so know how about Teamcenter is good to have. It is also good if you have experience from Chinese work culture. Travels can occur occasionally.
