Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Connectivity at Scania is one of the keys in Scania “driving the shift” strategy. At Connected Systems (EC) we work with enabling solutions with a span from the Telematics unit and functionality, the IoT solution with integration to Telecom providers and applications that form the base for all Connected Vehicle data used by services and solutions at Scania.
The department EC is now expanding with a new Section for Connected Systems Platform (ECP), with the responsibility to provide a platform for the Telematics unit and the IoT solution.
What you will do
As a senior manager you are responsible for three groups and part of the department management team. You are expected to contribute to the development of your own organization and the department. You will also drive the strategy for our Connected System Platform for use by stakeholders within Scania and responsible for partnership with external solution providers.

We are looking for a can-do mentality combined with an analytical mindset and structured way of working. An interest in the customer is important. To fit the expectations of the role you should:
• Have a graduate degree in engineering or equivalent
• Management experience in developing and maintaining systems in complex environments
• Feel highly motivated by the mission and challenges for this section
• Experienced and interested in Agile System Development, Connectivity, IoT, Telecom, embedded systems, System Architecture, Cloud development (AWS)

Good knowledge of English and Swedish is required and knowledge about Scania and Scania's methods and processes is meritorious.

You most likely have a formal degree in engineering physics, electrical engineering or computer science, or the equivalent experience. In addition you are expected to have at least 5 years' experience from working with technical products. Knowledge of the areas of Cloud Computing / IoT/ Connectivity / Telecom and/or the electrical system of (heavy) vehicles is a great advantage for this role.
