Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. We are also a vital part of TRATON group where we together develop common components to increase the synergy for all brands in the group. Do you want to drive the shift and move Scania into a new era by managing the Future Powertrain Program (FPP) Umbrella team?
Scania Project Office's mission is to deliver successful projects and maintain a well-managed project portfolio. We lead the company’s cross-functional development projects, from concept-ready to industrialization. We work with projects within all product areas at all stages of maturity, with participants from all functions at Scania as well as respective functions within other brands in the TRATON Group, such as MAN and Navistar. For us at the Project Office, this means a dynamic environment where different issues and challenges constantly arise.
As a Senior Manager, you will be the manager for very experienced and engaged project managers and project coordinators, all part of the Future Powertrain Program. Together the team will be responsible to lead and secure that we deliver successful projects for Scania and TRATON. In this role, you will gain a unique understanding of how Scania and TRATON are operating.
You will be a part of the management team at the Project Office and contribute to the development and transformation of the department.
Job Description
As the Senior Manager, your main focus will be to lead the team and develop the team members. Today it is a large team (23 team members) and we are looking into the possibility to split the team into two groups. That means that there will be close collaboration between two teams and two managers to secure the success of the Future Powertrain program.
You will represent Scania in Traton PDC and support your team at different forums such as PQ.
Your Profile
We are looking for a candidate that wants to lead and develop her-/himself and other leaders. You have management experience and are known as a strong leader using the full potential in the team to reach the targets and create engagement. You need to be stable as a person and leader to deal with new situations and challenges while keeping the speed up.
You have relevant education from University and relevant working experience from Scania, this could be from various cross functions within the PD-process and/or Traton PDP process. Experience within project management will be valuable.
To succeed in this role you need to be confident to challenge yourself, your team members, and the cross functions to secure a successful delivery. You have a wide network within Scania that makes you efficient. You are recognized as a person that can easily understand the holistic view and use your analytical skills on a daily basis to get the logic out of complex information.
To master top management meetings and present complex issues in front of others is natural for you. You master Swedish and English in speech and writing. Knowledge of German is a merit.
