Senior Manager Functional Safety

CEVT is an innovation centre for the future cars of the Geely Group with the purpose of being at the forefront of new developments in the automotive industry. Since 2013 CEVT has grown rapidly and now keeps some 2000 people busy. China Euro Vehicle Technology AB is a subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group.

We need to strengthen up our Functional safety team within Electrical Architecture and Platform with a Senior Manager, therefore we are offering you to be Senior Manager for the central functional safety team within CEVT. 

The central functional safety team within CEVT currently contains of 4 persons, but the plan is to have a team of 8 persons including senior manager and you will work cross functional with all R&D teams and you need to synchronize and align between project, line and team members. 

The team supports function, subsystem- and component-owner from CEVT and Geely with process/methods and technical expertise about functional safety. Focus will be on Electrical platform (architecture, power supply system, body and comfort electronics) Powertrain, Electrical Propulsion System (EPS) and Chassis System

Main focus in the role.

You will lead the work within the central team and continue the building up of a strong central team. Another important aspect of the role is to maintain and further strengthen the cooperation within the Geely group, as well as develop an “extended safety team” with team members from all functions at CEVT.

You are expected to follow the development within the industry to ensure that we are in the front regarding functional safety, and contribute to developing and maintaining a Safety Culture within CEVT.

You will report to Vice President of Electrical Architecture and Platform.  

Profile and background:

* B.Sc. or M.Sc. Eng., further qualification is advantage
* Good knowledge in system safety standards (primarily ISO 26262)
* Extensive automotive experience including development of automotive safety related E/E systems
* Experience in automotive architecture design is an advantage


You are a team player with very good communication/pedagogic skills, and you are self-driven and comfortable with high workload. Having a "find-a-way" attitude is essential in this position.

Through your previous roles you have built up good leadership skills and you have a good cultural awareness, especially Chinese - European culture.

The role also requires good structure and good documentation skills, as well as an analytical capability with excellent problem-solving skills.
