Scania is a global leader in commercial vehicles, currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. HR is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success depends on flexible and efficient HR solutions that support current and future business requirements.
Intro
Scania is currently in the midst of an multi-year People & Culture transformation including implementing our first-ever global HR system and system of record, which will become the core system for all HR-processes globally.
As part of this P&C transformation, we are establishing a global People Master Data team. This team will be responsible for ensuring uniformity, accuracy, stewardship, consistency and accountability of P&C’s master data. The ultimate goal of this is to improve operational efficiency, enhance data reporting, and help the businesses make smarter decisions by building a strong, secure data landscape that delivers deep insights and connects us to our markets.
To drive this, we are looking for someone with global experience in running similar teams to lead the development of Scania’s new global P&C MDM team. The initial focus will be on building a global MDM team as well as creating a data services delivery model which includes our core People systems.
Your tasks
You will be responsible for the creation and development of the HR MDM and Data Quality function and build and lead a team of HR Master Data professionals. You are also creating and maintaining the Master Data definitions, standards, and policies. Establishing and managing the data governance processes as applicable to the policies, procedures, SOPs, data dictionary, business glossary, data standards including allowed values demands you to handle many tasks at once.
You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Master Data projects and manage the Master Data scope on IT projects. In the role, you are designing, innovating, and delivering efficient Master Data solutions in partnership with the impacted business units/functions and IT. This is also a strategic role and your task is to connect MDM with strategic initiatives and participate with global data and analytics strategy teams.
The cooperation with the functional ERP Process Owners has the purpose to ensure that high-quality Master Data is available for consumption by business processes. The work includes the identification of opportunities/priorities to cleanse and harmonize Master Data within ERPs and across Scania’s data domains. And furthermore to understand dependencies and cross-matrix impacts for all People-focused systems operations.
Your profile
You have a Master/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Business, Data Analytics, HR or related field.
You are an experienced global leader with significant work experience and demonstrated successes, attained with a minimum of 10 years of progressive responsibility and you have a strong functional HR process and practice acumen with a technical aptitude.
You have a proven track record working with data management principles and GDPR. Knowledgeable in both incremental system upgrades and large scale implementations, preferably with SAP-based systems.
You have experience within process re-engineering, improvement, and development.
It is a merit to have experience in managing HR programs and processes within an HR system, for example setting up employee life cycle processes, developing HR data flow requirements for system-to-system communications and working closely with IT to define functional HR requirements for data interfaces.
Experience in leading the centralization of global MDM work, and leading virtual and off-shore teams is also preferable.
As a person you have a strategic mindset, excellent problem solving and analytical skills. You are comfortable with presentations and have the ability to collaborate with team members and business stakeholders at all levels of the organization. This role requires strong people skills in order to influence, collaborate, motivate, and drive timely and effective results. Demonstrated ability to transform business requirements into system improvements that ultimately advance the initiatives of the enterprise.
