The establishment of a Group Purchasing organization represents an important part of our corporate strategy with the aim to deliver significant business value for Getinge Group. We are now recruiting Senior Manager Group Purchasing Development in order to build up and deliver a world class purchasing function. This position will play a central key role in the Group Purchasing organization and will act as the right-hand of the Vice President, Group Purchasing.
The position
In this position you will be overall responsible for the capability development of the purchasing function, for indirect as well as direct material. The position currently involves personnel responsibility for two employees, but the group is intending to grow. You will be accountable for building the necessary platform in order to secure Excellence in the purchasing function and the objective is to within 2-3 years have established a governance model and developed processes, tools and a competence program within Group Purchasing.
The location is Göteborg, Sweden and international travel is expected to approximately twice a month.
The ideal candidate
Our ideal candidate has proven track record from successfully managing complex change and transformation projects within purchasing. We believe that you have at least 5-10 years´ experience from a similar role in an international and dynamic environment.
Some of your key characteristics include:
• Master´s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Engineering
• Knowledge and experience from strategic and tactical purchasing
• Understanding of operational purchasing
• Experience from development of processes, tools, competence programs e.t.c within purchasing
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Consulting experience and experience from managing direct reports is beneficial
As a person you are action-orientated, results-driven and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills. You have a strategic mindset in combination with a pragmatic and operational approach in implementation. Further, you are a true team-player with a genuine interest in motivating and inspiring people around you.
