Countless clients around the world, from broadcasters, production companies, DSPs, and YouTubers rely on our tracks to help them tell their stories. Epidemic Sound’s music is heard in hundreds of millions of online videos daily, across millions of playlist streams, and in thousands of in-store locations. We are looking for a Senior Manager for our Growth Strategy & Operations team who will be an active contributor in helping evolving ideas and visions into growth initiatives. You will collaborate with teams within the Growth domain (with the objective to acquire and retain users) as well as possibly adjacent teams from other domains and/or departments.

Closely connected to user growth, this is a crucial role within the organization and this person will report to our Director of Growth Strategy & Operations. Epidemic Sound is in an expansive phase and we’ve set ambitious growth targets for the coming years where the Growth Strategy & Operations team are the key contributors.

Job description

Our Growth Strategy & Operations Team is growing and there is a strong focus on strategic initiatives within or adjacent to the Growth domain to empower Epidemic Sound’s ability to scale and prepare for continued growth - with the mission to soundtrack the world. Additionally, there is a focus on aligning efforts across teams to support our long-term strategy.

A typical initiative you’d run in this role could be anything from scoping the potential behind integrating our referral program with our top-tier influencer program, to assessing price points of potential new products.

Key responsibilities

- Support initiatives championed or initiated by the Growth Domain Leadership team

- Develop business cases (including long-term forecasts, cost-benefit analysis, etc.) for strategic initiatives

- Lead complex and time-critical initiatives by quickly understanding context and developing a prioritized scope and approach for resolution in ambiguous situations and with cross functional teams

- Communicate findings and recommendations to different stakeholders throughout the company by preparing presentations and key takeaways

- Support the implementation of key initiatives within the organisation, both within the growth domain and with central teams where needed such as Finance, IT operations and Analytics

- Promote Epidemic Sound’s vision and long-term strategy across the Growth domain (and immediate touch points outside of it)



Who are you?

In order to succeed and thrive in this role, we believe you have the ability to deal with ambiguity and frequent change with a pragmatic mindset. You have exceptional attention to detail paired with the ability to understand and articulate the ‘bigger picture’. Also, we believe you have the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, including having displayed distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills. Good track record of agile project management (or similar) is required.

Also, we believe you have:

- Ability to influence and align stakeholders, facilitating and coaching skills.

- Experience in a technical, quantitative or business field

- Experience working with growth - in product, analytics or marketing functions

- Minimum four years of experience from SaaS, management consulting or similar with agile ways of working

- Experience working across multiple functions in an organisation, including having proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to conduct quantitative analysis using Excel/G Suite

- Basic understanding of working with user research and brand strategy is a plus
